Alpine View
A vibrant green field leads into lush, tree-covered hill-sides, with mountains paling into the distance behind this. The oil paint has been applied in a loose, semi-impasto style, capturing the atmosphere of the alpine scenery in all it’s glory.
This painting was created en-Plein-air in the French Alps, in a small village called Groisy, which is not far from Annecy.
I lived in Annecy for a year and a half and I loved immersing myself in the amazing mountain landscapes and recording my experiences in paint.
