Queen's Park Illustration Autumn
Chocolate brown branches swoop upwards against wave-patterned, juniper green foliage, whilst curvy layers of patterned bushes in shades of mustard, red and lime green sweep forward. Delicately finished flowers in rosewood pink and ultramarine blue add detail in the foreground.
This series of watercolour paintings were inspired by photos taken in my local park in Loughborough during lockdown. Painting was a therapeutic process for me during the pandemic, it was a way to escape the mundane. These paintings bring colour, pattern and fun to the ordinary and choose to see life through a lens of beauty.
